Wearing it cause I can is an honest blog full of attitude and color that will hopefully inspire women to have more fun with fashion. For me fashion is a playful statement full of possibilities, colour and patterns. I just love the way I can create myself over and over again, exactly the way I want.  I admire women that do not surrender to age or size or any ideal about what is right or wrong. I say there is no right or wrong in fashion as long as you wear it with an attitude!

So why fashion then?
I always loved fashion ever since I was a little girl. I remember dreaming of being the typical princess but was in fact more of a boy girl and several times people even mistook me for a boy. This was rather traumatic for me and back then I just wanted to look like the popular girls, like the girls that no one would ever mistake for a boy. But then I grew up and grew into myself and suddenly the last thing I wanted was to look like all the other girls, now they seemed boring and without personality.  I started experimented quite a lot with my style, I enjoyed standing out and being different. I remember my grandmother always  complimenting my looks, even the risky ones, saying “I looked like one of those mannequins!”

Fashion has always been a way of expressing myself and before I realized that fashion was really my thing I expressed myself creatively through dancing and theater and writing.  However it has not always been that easy, especially after giving birth to my two boys, both within two years of each other.  I had a couple of years afterwards when I completely gave in to motherhood and just let myself go. I didn’t realise that had happened at the time,  but looking back at the pictures from those years is like looking at a different person.  Over 10 years later,  I now hope to inspire women to play with fashion and to show who they really are!

We keep changing all the time and so should the clothes we wear.  I’m originally from Sweden but have lived almost 20 years in Madrid.  I can really notice my Spanish influences especially now living here in Amsterdam, It's impossible to wear a flamenco inspired blouse without striking a pose!

So how did it all start then?
I started fashion blogging on Instagram by accident, which is absolutely crazy because this is so me! But it was actually my little brother that encouraged me and introduced me to Instagram and from there it slowly started growing.
My family and friends know that it is impossible to spend time with me without me asking for a picture to be taken! It has really been a struggle finding people willing to take my picture every day and I have mainly used help from all my friends, my husband and my older son as my photographers. So, once again, welcome to my blog I really hope you will enjoy it!
